CLINIC TERMS & CONDITIONS - Nutritional Therapy, Coaching and Consultancy

1.1 Scope of Service

Nutritional therapy and consultancy are provided by DOS Consulting Limited. Sessions may take place online or in person.

Nutritional therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, psychiatric care, or emergency treatment. You are responsible for consulting your GP or relevant healthcare provider regarding any medical concerns.

By booking a consultation, you confirm that you understand the service is educational and advisory in nature.

1.2 Payment Terms

Payment for consultations must be made in advance of the session via the payment method offered at booking.

Consultations are confirmed only once payment has been received.

Where applicable, VAT will be included in the stated price.

1.3 Cancellations and Missed Appointments

Cancellations require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be charged in full.

In exceptional circumstances, rescheduling may be offered at our discretion, but this is not guaranteed.

1.4 Client Responsibility

You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your health history, medications, and lifestyle.

You remain responsible for your own health decisions.

Recommendations provided are suggestions and you accept that outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

1.5 Confidentiality

All personal information is treated as confidential and stored securely in accordance with UK data protection law.

Confidential information may only be disclosed where legally required, including where there is risk of serious harm to yourself or others.

1.6 Recording

Consultations may not be recorded without prior written consent.

1.7 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DOS Consulting Limited shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of advice provided.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

COURSE TERMS & CONDITIONS

DOS Consulting Limited – Trading as Daniel O’Shaughnessy

These Terms & Conditions apply to all online courses, live programmes, workshops, digital products, and educational offerings (“Courses”) provided by DOS Consulting Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By purchasing or participating in a Course, you agree to these Terms.

1. Nature of the Courses

Our Courses are educational and reflective in nature.

They do not constitute medical care, psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, crisis intervention, or personalised clinical services.

Content provided within Courses is for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice.

You remain responsible for your own health decisions.

2. Eligibility and Personal Responsibility

By enrolling, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.

  • You understand that the Course content may explore topics related to body image, mental health, trauma, or personal development.

  • You accept responsibility for seeking appropriate professional support where required.

If you are experiencing acute mental health distress or require urgent support, you should contact an appropriate healthcare provider or emergency service.

3. Payment

Payment is required at the time of purchase unless an instalment plan is explicitly offered.

Your place on a Course is secured only upon successful payment.

All prices are stated in GBP unless otherwise indicated and may include VAT where applicable.

You will receive an order confirmation email after purchase.

4. Cooling-Off Period and Refunds

Under UK distance selling regulations, you may have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase.

If a Course begins within that 14-day period and you choose to access live sessions, recordings, or materials, you acknowledge that you waive your statutory right to cancel once the Course has commenced.

Refund eligibility is as follows:

  • Before the Course begins: eligible within the cooling-off period unless access to materials has been granted and used.

  • After the Course has begun: no refunds are provided unless otherwise stated in writing.

Failure to attend live sessions does not entitle you to a refund.

If we cancel a Course before it begins, you will receive a full refund.

5. Access and Delivery

Courses may be delivered live online, pre-recorded, or in a hybrid format.

You are responsible for ensuring you have:

  • A stable internet connection

  • A suitable device

  • A private and appropriate environment where possible

We are not responsible for technical issues arising from your personal equipment or connection.

Where recordings are offered, access will be provided for the duration specified at the time of purchase.

6. Group Participation and Confidentiality

Some Courses involve live group participation.

We treat participant contributions with discretion.

However, because group environments involve multiple participants, confidentiality cannot be absolutely guaranteed.

By participating, you agree not to share, disclose, or reproduce personal information shared by other participants.

7. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to engage respectfully.

Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, bullying, or repeated boundary violations may result in removal from the Course without refund.

We reserve the right to determine, at our discretion, whether conduct breaches these standards.

8. Intellectual Property

All Course materials, recordings, written content, slides, exercises, frameworks, and associated materials remain the intellectual property of DOS Consulting Limited.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence for personal use only.

You may not:

  • Record sessions without written permission

  • Share access credentials

  • Redistribute materials

  • Reproduce content for commercial purposes

9. No Guarantees

While Courses are designed to support insight and personal development, we do not guarantee specific outcomes or results.

Individual experiences will vary.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DOS Consulting Limited shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in a Course.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

BREATHWORK PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT & WAIVER

Breathwork sessions offered by DOS Consulting Limited are experiential practices that involve conscious connected breathing and may produce intense physical, emotional, or psychological responses.

By booking and participating in a breathwork session, workshop, or event, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following:

1. Nature of Breathwork

Breathwork may involve changes in breathing patterns that can lead to physical sensations such as tingling, dizziness, emotional release, or altered states of awareness.

These sessions are educational and experiential in nature and are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment.

2. Medical Responsibility

You confirm that:

  • You are physically and mentally capable of participating.

  • You have disclosed any relevant medical or psychological conditions.

  • You accept responsibility for seeking medical advice where appropriate.

Breathwork is not suitable for individuals with:

  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders

  • Glaucoma or detached retina

  • Severe cardiovascular conditions

  • Current or recent psychosis

  • Bipolar disorder (particularly unmanaged)

  • Schizophrenia

  • Severe PTSD with active destabilisation

  • First trimester pregnancy

If you have any concerns, you agree to consult your healthcare provider before participating.

3. Personal Responsibility

You understand that you are responsible for:

  • Regulating your own participation

  • Stopping if you experience discomfort

  • Ensuring you are in a safe physical environment if attending online

You agree to inform the facilitator if you experience distress during the session.

4. Online Participation

If participating online, you confirm that:

  • You are in a safe, private space

  • You will not participate while driving or operating machinery

  • You understand that the facilitator cannot physically intervene

5. Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release DOS Consulting Limited, its facilitators, employees, and representatives from liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, except in cases of negligence.

You acknowledge that participation is voluntary and that you assume responsibility for your own wellbeing.

6. Recording and Confidentiality

You agree not to record sessions without written consent.

If sessions are recorded by us, recordings remain the property of DOS Consulting Limited.
