Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 3 August 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you book or purchase private health and nutrition services, bespoke private support, breathwork, consultancy or another related service from DOS Consulting Ltd, trading as Daniel O’Shaughnessy.

DOS Consulting Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 12216396. Its registered office is Apartment 60, 7 Thorney Street, London, SW1P 4FG, United Kingdom.

You can contact me at admin@thenakednutritionist.co.uk.

These terms should be read alongside the description of the service, any written proposal or engagement letter provided to you, and the Privacy Notice on this website.

Where a written proposal contains terms specific to an engagement, those terms will apply to that engagement. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

2. The services

My work may include:

  • One-to-one nutrition and functional medicine support

  • Review of health history, symptoms and existing test results

  • Nutrition, lifestyle and supplement recommendations

  • Functional or genetic testing where appropriate

  • Support relating to stress, body image, behaviour and a person’s relationship with food

  • Breathwork or body-based practices where appropriate

  • Bespoke private health support

  • Consultancy, speaking and organisational work

The precise scope, duration and boundaries of the work will be explained before you book or set out in a separate written proposal.

Services may be provided online or in person, depending on the arrangement.

3. Nature and limits of the work

My services are intended to provide nutrition, lifestyle, educational and reflective support. They do not provide medical diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, emergency care or crisis support, and they are not a substitute for care from your doctor or another suitably qualified healthcare professional.

I do not prescribe medication or advise you to stop taking prescribed medication. Any concerns about medication, diagnosis or medical treatment should be discussed with the professional responsible for your medical care.

Nutrition, functional medicine and related work can involve uncertainty. Recommendations are based on the information available at the time, professional judgement and the agreed scope of the work. No particular result, improvement or outcome can be guaranteed.

Unless specifically agreed in writing, services are intended for people aged 18 or over.

4. Suitability

Before accepting an engagement, I may ask for information to establish whether the service is suitable and whether it falls within my professional scope.

I may decline, pause or end the work where:

  • The service is not appropriate for your needs

  • The work falls outside my professional scope

  • Continuing would not be safe or responsible

  • Important information has not been disclosed

  • Professional boundaries are repeatedly disregarded

  • Payment has not been made as agreed

  • I believe another form of professional care would be more appropriate

Where possible, I will explain the reason and suggest that you seek appropriate support elsewhere. This does not create an obligation to provide a referral.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge, including relevant information about your health, medication, diagnoses, treatment and current care.

You should tell me if material information changes during our work.

You remain responsible for your own decisions and for deciding whether to act on any recommendation. Where appropriate, you should discuss recommendations with your doctor or another regulated healthcare professional before making a significant change.

For online appointments, you are responsible for having a suitable internet connection and a private, safe environment in which to participate.

6. Fees and payment

The fee and what it includes will be shown on the relevant service page or confirmed in writing before you enter into a contract.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the full fee is payable before the first appointment or before work begins. A booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.

If you use Klarna or another payment provider, your separate agreement with that provider will govern how you repay them. The full service fee remains payable through the provider, even if you repay it in instalments.

Laboratory testing, supplements, medical care, travel and other external costs are not included unless this is expressly stated in the service description or proposal.

7. Your right to cancel an online or telephone booking

If you are purchasing as a consumer and the contract is made online, by telephone or away from my business premises, you will normally have 14 days from the date the contract is entered into to cancel it without giving a reason.

You may ask me to begin providing the service during this 14-day period. If you do so and then cancel before the service has been completed, you must pay a proportionate amount for the services supplied up to the time you cancel.

If the service is fully performed during the 14-day period, your cancellation right will end once the service has been completed, provided that you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that the cancellation right would be lost following full performance.

To cancel, email admin@thenakednutritionist.co.uk with your name, the service purchased, the purchase date and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

These rights are separate from the appointment cancellation policy below and do not affect any other statutory rights you may have.

8. Appointment cancellations and rescheduling

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge by giving at least 48 hours’ notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will normally be charged in full because the time has been reserved and may not reasonably be reallocated.

I may waive or reduce the charge where the appointment is successfully reallocated or where exceptional circumstances make a different outcome appropriate.

If you arrive late, the appointment will normally finish at the original time so that later clients are not affected.

9. Programmes and longer engagements

Some services involve a programme, minimum engagement period or the reservation of ongoing capacity.

If you decide to end an engagement after the statutory cooling-off period, you are not automatically entitled to a full refund. Any amount retained will reflect work already performed, appointments or capacity reserved, non-recoverable commitments and other reasonable losses resulting from the cancellation.

Where an amount has been paid for work that will no longer be supplied and retaining it would not reflect a reasonable loss, the appropriate balance will be refunded.

If I end an engagement for reasons unrelated to your conduct or breach of these terms, I will refund any amount paid for work that has not been supplied, unless we agree another arrangement.

Specific cancellation or termination terms for bespoke support may also be included in the written proposal supplied before the engagement begins.

10. Testing, supplements and external providers

Laboratory testing is only recommended where I consider it potentially useful and appropriate. Testing is not automatically included in a service.

Tests, supplements and other products may be provided by independent third parties. Their availability, delivery, processing and performance may be subject to separate terms.

I am not responsible for delays, errors or service failures caused by an independent laboratory, payment provider, delivery company or other external provider, except where the law makes me responsible.

Recommendations concerning supplements are based on the information available at the time. You should disclose relevant medication, allergies, pregnancy, planned procedures and diagnosed medical conditions before following a recommendation.

11. Communication and support between appointments

Access outside appointments is limited to what is described on the service page or in your written proposal.

Unless expressly included, an engagement does not provide unlimited messaging, immediate responses, emergency access or crisis support.

Email and messaging should not be used for urgent medical concerns. If you require urgent medical help, contact the appropriate local healthcare or emergency service.

12. Breathwork and energy healing

Breathwork or energy healing may be incorporated where appropriate to the agreed work, within the scope of my training and qualifications, and where you choose to participate. Participation is always optional.

These practices may involve physical sensations, emotional responses or changes in subjective experience. Before participating, the nature of the practice will be explained. Where appropriate, particularly for breathwork, you may be asked to complete suitability screening and a separate participation agreement.

You should disclose relevant medical or mental health conditions, medication, pregnancy and any previous adverse response to breathwork or a similar practice. You may pause or stop at any time.

Energy healing is offered as a complementary practice intended to support emotional, spiritual or general wellbeing. It is not presented as diagnosing, treating or curing a physical or mental health condition, and no particular outcome is guaranteed.

Neither breathwork nor energy healing is medical or psychological treatment. Participation does not replace appropriate care from a doctor or mental health professional.

13. Confidentiality and personal information

Information shared during private work will be treated as confidential, subject to the circumstances explained in the Privacy Notice and any legal or safeguarding obligations that apply.

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Notice available on this website.

Where the work requires health information or other special-category personal information, explicit consent will be requested separately during onboarding. Accepting these terms does not by itself constitute that consent.

You should avoid sending highly sensitive information through social media messages or other informal communication channels.

14. Recording and intellectual property

Appointments, breathwork sessions, talks and private conversations may not be recorded, photographed, transcribed or shared without prior written agreement.

Materials supplied to you are for your own personal use unless otherwise stated. Copyright and other intellectual property rights remain with DOS Consulting Ltd or the relevant rights holder.

You may not reproduce, publish, sell, distribute, teach from or commercially exploit supplied materials without written permission.

15. If I need to cancel

I may occasionally need to cancel or rearrange an appointment because of illness, emergency or another circumstance outside my reasonable control.

Where this happens, I will offer a replacement appointment. If a suitable replacement cannot be arranged, any payment relating specifically to the cancelled appointment or undelivered service will be refunded.

I am not responsible for reasonable delays caused by events outside my control, but I will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.

16. Standard of service and liability

Services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

I am responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of my breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

I am not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, that results from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you, or that arises because recommendations were used outside the agreed scope.

If you purchase services primarily for personal purposes, I am not responsible for business losses, including loss of profit, income, opportunity or business interruption.

17. Speaking, consultancy and organisational work

Speaking engagements, consultancy, brand partnerships and organisational work will normally be governed by a separate written proposal or agreement covering the scope, fee, expenses, cancellation arrangements, recording rights and use of materials.

Where that agreement conflicts with these general terms, the engagement-specific agreement will take priority.

18. Concerns and complaints

If you are dissatisfied with a service, please contact admin@thenakednutritionist.co.uk and explain the issue.

I will acknowledge the complaint and aim to respond substantively within 14 days. If more time is required to investigate it properly, I will explain this and provide an updated timescale.

19. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The terms that apply to an engagement will normally be those provided or available when the contract was entered into, unless a change is required by law or you agree to it.

20. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you live.

Any mandatory consumer rights applying in the country where you live remain unaffected.
