Personalised Nutrition
PERSONALISED NUTRITION
There is no single way to eat well, because no two bodies, lives, or histories are the same. Personalised nutrition is about working with your biology rather than imposing rigid rules or universal advice. The focus is on understanding context, patterns, and what a body has adapted to over time.
My approach is grounded in functional medicine, with an emphasis on identifying root contributors rather than managing symptoms in isolation. Where appropriate, this includes a comprehensive case history and selective use of biochemical or genetic testing to better understand what may be influencing health beneath the surface.
Nutrition is never considered in isolation. The work also looks at how stress, sleep, environment, movement, and nervous system regulation interact with physiology. The aim is to develop strategies that are realistic, sustainable, and responsive to the life someone is actually living.
This work is not about optimisation or perfection. It is about creating enough stability and support for change to be possible.
Areas this work may touch on include:
Rather than treating conditions in isolation, I work across interconnected patterns such as:
Stress, burnout, and nervous system dysregulation
Digestive health and gut-related symptoms
Immune function, inflammation, and skin health
Hormonal health and metabolic balance
Energy, fatigue, and sleep disruption
Mood, emotional wellbeing, and stress resilience
LGBTQ+ health considerations across the lifespan
This list is not exhaustive, and the focus is always on understanding the wider picture rather than labelling or chasing individual symptoms.
